Luca imagines an archaeology of the future — tender, damaged and alive.
Sofia Luca builds in clay and cast glass, joining the humble and the luminous. Her totemic stoneware and glowing glass forms feel both ancient and speculative — an archaeology of the future.
At the intersection of the functional and the sacred, her objects treat material as memory: fired, fused and marked by the hand. Ritual objects for a faith not yet named.
For ALTAR, Luca represents a material practice where clay becomes memory, relic and quiet endurance.

A translucent form shifting from warm amber to soft rose and clear glass, holding and refracting light across the day — caught between a geological formation and a body in transformation.
Twisting, wave-like volumes crossing burgundy, cobalt, smoke and transparent glass. Dense and bodily from one side, almost liquid from another — a body without boundaries.
